Sorry I haven't posted anything for a while.  Each day I hope Denise improves but that da__ chemo is kicking her butt.  She has nausea but to combat the nausea she has to eat and drink--does that make sense?  Not an enjoyable journey right now.

Lab test tomorrow to check the blood for the IP chemo therapy on Thursday.

Many of you have offered to prepare special food for Denise but her desires are very unpredictable even for me.  When I find something she likes, she only eats a very small amount.  She has lost 20 pounds thus far.

I'm so sorry about the nausea. It does make sense to eat and drink to try to combat it, but that doesn't make it any easier. Hang in there - you will get through this! We're sending lots of love your way.

Hi Denise,
Sorry to hear that you are having a rough time with this treatment. You have probably already tried this, but Marie sometimes used candied ginger for nausea. Praying for you. Lots of love too!

Wish I had a solution to the nausea but since I don't I'm sending my love and prayers. I've told everyone I work with how impressed I am with your positive attitude and requests for your supporters to be positive too. I'm proud of you (even if you're not feeling positive right now). I love you Nisey!!

Denise - Sorry to hear about the nausea. I remember hearing that same instruction (eating will help the nausea to go away) - so frustrating! Hang in there - we are sending positive thoughts!! xxoo.

Pot? So, yeah, I guess this comes from out of the blue, especially from me, but who knows! We tried to do the pot thing with my grandmother to help with her appetite, but I hear it works for nausea? I really don't know if it really works. We tried the brownie route, but I'm told that is not as effective as actually smoking it. CRAZY!!! You can't actually get an RX for it but you can get a recommendation from your MD. So I hope the nausea (and pain) goes away before you resort to pot, cause it really stinks. Keeping you in our prayers and thinking lots of fun happy thoughts....peeling apples at my mom's place and squeezing them so the go all over the place... Mrs. Zavadil...

Hey you, I'm sorry to hear about the nausea. I'm sure you've probably already tried that medication...can't remember what it's called, but I think it starts with a z.

I'm sorry I haven't been by to see you yet, but believe it or not, I've still been sick...since the 23rd of December. I'm hoping to be on the mend soon...have a violent cough right now. And man, can I tell you that I thought you had to have been through childbirth before this happens, but when I cough...never mind. I'm sure you probably know what I was about to say...turning 40 is a doozy!

Anyway, I think about you often, and I send positive thoughts your way always. Love you!

denise, this sounds very rough...and not a fun way to diet at all--although i suppose that is the 1 nice side effect. a friend of mine gained weight during chemo. she was a little disappointed.
i'm finally not sick to my stomach after 4 months of it...dry heaves, etc. i know it is nothing compared to what you are dealing with. i'm glad you are not having to work right now...not that you could even if you had to.
i'm still sick--going on a month of it--so i'm not able to visit yet. i have what your friend above sounds like she has...and same result when i cough. joy.
love you and praying for you!
